Associate for our Accounting, Tax and Reporting Department (all genders)

Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Accounting, Tax and Reporting department, you will be responsible for:

• General accounting and financial management of the French branch of FRIDAY Insurance S.A.
• Preparation of tax returns and VAT returns and correspondence with the French tax authorities
• Verification, entry, and payment of supplier invoices
• Accounting for salaries and other overheads
• Drawing up half-yearly and annual closings based on French accounting rules
• Drawing up the annual accounts on the basis of French accounting rules
• Preparation of reports for the Commissariat aux Assurances in France and other local authorities in France
• Preparation of budget reports and performing various administrative tasks
• Preparation of management charts and other internal reports for the Executive Committee of FRIDAY Insurance S.A.

Your ideal background and skillset

• Master's degree in finance or management and at least 5 years professional experience in a financial accounting or audit function
• In-depth knowledge of French accounting rules and tax legislation
• Knowledge of and experience in the insurance sector is an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP and/or CODA systems is an advantage
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools with a very good knowledge of Excel paired with strong analytical and logical skills
• You are proactive, believe in connection before collaboration and you like working as part of an (awesome) team
• You are detail-oriented and precise work is important for you and you have a good sense of discretion
• Fluency in French and English. Knowledge of German will be considered an asset.
